Julia Leeb

Journalist and Filmmaker

Julia Leeb is a VR journalist and filmmaker. She studied International Relations and Diplomacy in Spain, worked for the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of Italy and deepened her knowledge about the Middle East in Egypt before returning to Germany, where she graduated from the Bavarian TV academy. Leeb’s work focuses on cultural exchange. Her recent book, “Humanity in Times of Fear” was an Amazon bestseller in four categories and was featured in the Spiegel bestsellers list and currently in the Bestenliste März 2022 (ZDF/Die Zeit/Deutschlandfunk). Her photobook “North Korea – Anonymous Country“ was nominated for the national Photo Book Award in Germany and was sold all around the world. Her last photo art exhibition drew over 18,000 visitors. Leeb’s 360°/ VR movies have been screened at international VR film festivals worldwide. She was part of the book “200 Women" that was featured in various international exhibitions in Sydney, New York City,  Cape Town and Munich.
